Ecuador is a small country, but has a lot to offer, from the tropical Amazonian rainforest to the snow-peaked Andes Mountains, and of course Galapagos Islands. It's a perfect destination for all kind of travelers. The equator line runs right through the country, hence its name, and is one of the major tourist attractions as it’s possible to stand with one foot in the northern hemisphere and the other in the southern hemisphere.

Quito is the world's highest capital and one of the best preserved in Latin America. 

The gay scene is not huge, but it is spirited. The Mariscal district fondly referred to as the Pink Zone is the centre of gay life.
